Tierney Not the Tyrant.

My mom might not agree with the phrase above. I tend to be a little controlling and OCD, but that's what makes me into who I am. I am a recent college graduate from Brigham Young University Idaho, where I studied Family and Consumer Science Education. For those of you who don't know what that is, it is the new name for Home Economics. So, basically I teach life skills to high school students (sewing, cooking, interior design, and personal finances).

I was born and raised on a family farm where I grew up loving agriculture, sewing, and cooking (although I was definitely not very good at cooking until college forced me to become a better cook - thanks Kaylie). After graduating from high school, I decided to run for a State FFA Office where I was elected to serve Colorado FFA for a year. During this year, I was required to take a year off of college and travel. What a wonderful experience this was for me in realizing my passion for agriculture. After that year, I headed up to BYU-Idaho to study Animal Science. I quickly realized that although I wanted to advocate for agriculture, there was another way to do, through FCS. I realized that I could teach students about where their food comes from all the while teaching them how to cook this food. My ultimate goal as a teacher is bridge the gap between farm to table.

Here I am four years later, a college graduate wondering what's next? Follow along on all of my adventures and see how trusting God will  shape and influence my life.
